Bride Of The Year Quest
As a Bride during the past 12 months, you are invited to once again experience the thrill of wearing your beautiful wedding gown in the Bride of the Year Quest parade, which will be held at Dubbo’s 33rd Bridal & Event Expo. Besides the unforgettable memory of re-living your Wedding Day, you have the opportunity to compete for the honour of being named Bride of the Year, Charity Bride of the Year or Charity Bride of the Year Runner-Up.
Your husband is also invited to partner you. Your bridesmaid/s , flowergirl/s and pageboy/s may also join you on the catwalk. We encourage your participation & look forward to assisting you in supporting the McGrath Foundation over the next few weeks.
To assist you, this year a great raffle has been arranged by the organising committee. You are most welcome to collect raffle ticket books from The Wedding Shoppe and use the money raised from selling these tickets to help you raise funds for the McGrath Foundation – and perhaps become lauded as our 2011 Charity Bride of the Year. You may also sell McGrath Foundation merchandise to assist your fund raising efforts. You will be able to collect this Merchandise from The Wedding Shoppe and Event Hire at 193 Bultje Street Dubbo. You may also raise money by other means if you wish.
You will receive a certificate acknowledging your efforts to support the McGrath Foundation by entering this iconic and prestigious Event.
The team from ‘Color Me Pink’, a Dubbo Business Fundraising Project for the McGrath Foundation, supports the Bride of the Year Quest and will be manning the McGrath Foundation stand at Dubbo Bridal & Event Expo.
The ‘Colour Me Pink’ trailer from Thompson Bros Transport will be on display at the Expo

Hairstyle & Make Up:
These are your own responsibility.
Bouquets:
If your bouquet was silk or dried flowers, please bring those to carry on the day. Otherwise, flowers will be supplied for you to carry.
Entry Passes:
Passes are available for you and your husband and others parading with you. It is important to wear them on the day. You will be charged an entry fee if you are not wearing your Pass. Friends and relatives who accompany you on the day must pay the entry fee.
ITINERARY ON THE DAY
10.00am Enter Dubbo Civic Centre and show your pass otherwise you will have to pay the admission charge. Gowns and suits may be hung in the identified fitting rooms backstage upstairs.
10.30 am Time to go backstage and change ready for the Parade. You may organise someone to dress you or we will have ladies available to help you dress if required. Just advise us, prior to the day, if you will need assistance.
11.00 am Please be fully dressed and waiting backstage for the Parade.
11.15 am Walk down the catwalk slowly and return to stage as instructed on the day. Leave enough room for other girls to walk through centre stage and onto catwalk. The last girl is to walk down the catwalk then return and stand in the centre of the stage. Please remain on stage until all presentations are completed and the winners have been announced. Exit when given cue by Compere. Would the three winners please remain in their gowns. The Daily Liberal will be there on the day to take photos after the Parade.
